What will you do?

As a salesperson, you will be responsible for the sales of furniture, appliances, mattresses & home decor. You will interact with customers entering the store for the first time, as well as cultivating long-term customer relationships.
At HUSH, we pride ourselves on offering the best customer service in the Kootenays in our industry. That includes interacting with customers through face-to-face interactions, digital channels (text, email, social), and phone communication. It also includes cultivating quality and long-term customer relationships. 
Finally, working here will involve assisting with store pricing, merchandising, and other store-related duties. 

What do you need?

You need to be an outgoing personality and enjoy interacting with people. This is a front-facing customer service job with some pretty busy periods, so previous experience dealing directly with customers in roles like retail, hospitality, or customer service is a must. Along with this, you must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal. This is required for maintaining relationships with both customers and coworkers.
You'll need good computer skills, with an understanding of e-mail, MS Office, and Google Drive. The physical ability to move small to medium-sized furniture items is also an asset.
Finally, you must be able to work most Saturdays, which is our busiest day of the week and offers the best sales opportunities.
